How to Add to This Page

The site is static and lives in the site/ folder. There are four media drop‑zones:

media/photos/ — family photos.
media/audio/ — voice recordings, home audio, interviews.
media/clippings/ — scans of paper newspaper clippings.
media/ephemera/ — letters, recipes, programs, ticket stubs, menus.

Each folder has a captions.json. Add an object per file: { "file": "name.jpg", "caption": "…" }. Audio also takes a title. See media/README.md.

To add a new headline to the front page's Just In column, edit recent.json. To publish a memory submitted via the Remembering form, copy the email content into memories.json.

Publishing a Memory from the Inbox

When a reader uses the Remembering form, your email opens with their submission. To publish, paste it into memories.json using this shape:
